Mr. Richard W. Pabich was identified with the packaging industry for most of his life. His earliest lessons were learned from his father, Walter R. Pabich who was the founder of the Ideal Stitcher Company, div. of W. R. Pabich Manufacturing Company, Inc. producing the wire stitching machine that is still very much in use today. Richard was an inventor in his own right and held a number of patents himself, one being the Quick-Loc fastener.
Richard partnered in an acquired company, then known simply as Chicago Staple Company. He later purchased his partner's interests and renamed the company Chicago Staple & Shipping Supply Company. He then purchased several other companies over the years such as Midwest Staple & Shippers Supply Company, Allied Fastener Corporation, Acme-Lane Company, BIFS Packaging and Quick-Loc. Established in 1938, Allied Packaging Systems & Supplies encompassed all of our affiliates to better reflect the growth, development, and scope of our business.
Although, sadly our beloved Richard is no longer with us, deceased 1994, he is succeded by his son Thomas Richard Pabich. We at Allied Packaging Systems & Supplies continue to be encouraged by his strong work ethic, motivated by his vigor for life, and amused by his funny stories and quips that he was always eager to share.
Thank you, Richard Pabich for the strong company that you established, for passing along your remarkable work ethic and especially for all of the smiles. You will live on in our hearts forever.
